It would be foolish to try and describe the island’s exceptional cuisine in such a small space. One could never do justice to an art form, which has taken hundreds of years to develop, not to mention several invasions.
‘Bar Nettuno’ in Scopello, is the perfect way to begin and end your day. Sig. Ciccio welcomes all with huge Cappuccinos for breakfast and his sons serve drinks till the early hours. ‘La Terrazza’ is also worth mentioning for its stunning views and superb fresh food from the local organic market. The ‘Sataru’ is deliciously romantic. On the other hand, Castellammare is a bustling town around which are dotted numerous bars and restaurants. Try ‘La Cambusa’ for seafood. Sicilian fish dishes, especially those eaten in the open air, are to be definitely savoured and indefinitely remembered!
